Central Government Health Placements

An extensive track record covering a range of Departments, regulatory bodies or other major organisations from the Department of Health, where key appointments include the Director General for Social Care (David Behan); the Director of Social Care Leadership (Glen Mason) plus a number of Regional Directors to the Appointments Commission, where we appointed the Chief Executive (Andrea Sutcliffe) to start up organisations such as the Care Quality Commission, where we managed the recruitment of the Directors and Heads of Service, covering a total of 44 positions. We have been a preferred Executive Recruitment supplier to the General Medical Council for over 5 years, recruiting to a wide number of positions.

Acute Sector
In the Acute sector, we have worked with organisations at Chair and Chief Executive level, including recent appointments at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust and Mid Essex Hospital Services NHS Trust as well as clinical and governance appointments at Guys and St Thomas’s.

Primary and Mental Health Care
In Primary Care and Mental Health, we have worked with 14 organisations, including Tameside and Glossop PCT; NHS Islington; South London Healthcare NHS Trust and Cumbria Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, for example, appointing from Chair and Chief executive to broader roles such as Finance and the very specific and often difficult to fill Directors of Public Health and Commissioning. We have also been asked to develop specific Assessment programmes including Barnsley and Blackpool PCTs

Joint Appointments
We have particular expertise in joint appointments and have worked across a number of local authorities and PCT’s to appoint to roles ranging from Chief Executive to Public Health and Adult Social Care.

Interim
Our interim practice has worked broadly across a range of organisations filling over 30 senior interim positions across the UK in the last 12 months across the UK from strategic workforce planning to more specific management and clinical functions. Organisations include Oxford PCT, Tower Hamlets PCT and North Staffordshire PCT.

Added to this, of course, is our comprehensive work across Local Government, which includes 19 Chief Executive roles and over 500 Director roles in the last three years.
